What it was like I

There were more clouds later on but, luckily, rain only happened on day 1.
The sea WAS cold, though, but I did dip in a couple of times...

Any guesses what this is?

Return - MM

'This would have been a nice holiday,' she thought, 'if only the sea hadn't been so darn cold. I'm still shivering from dipping my toes.'

A break

When this gets posted, I'll be on my way to my holiday destination. It is not where I would most want to go but we hope to still catch some late summer on that island off the Croatian coast. I've been freezing here for the best part of the last week. There has been little else besides rain and grey sky since the end of August and I am horrified to think that this is what we're in for for the best part of the next 8 months.

My absence can last anywhere between 10 and 15 days and I doubt I'll be seeking computers with internet connection while there. Then again, one never knows... I intend to take lots of photos, though.

Take care while I'm gone, and have fun. Catch you later...

The Muffed Target

A lot of things in this photo makes it kind of confusing. What is the main subject? The blossom, the dry flower head, the caterpillar? Mind boggles. Besides, everything is kind of soft and lacking definition, the colours are bleak... all in all, a delete - if it weren't for Thom's meme (taken over from Gattina)...

What could be Microfiction Monday

In just a couple of days I'll be away on a holiday.
What? The most crappy weather ever?
Yeah, I know. I must be jinxed!

55 on Friday

They were attached to her since birth. She provided them with everything they needed for their existence, and they reciprocated. They lived together as one big happy family. But now their mother was killing them. They burst out in a final display of colour before falling into oblivion, just as every generation of leaves before.
